Introduction

The purpose of this blog is to enable a reader with no prior knowledge of the guitar and no prior musical knowledge to learn the bacis of how to play the guitar. All the musicals examples included here have been written to be played by a total beginner and hence the timing has been kept straightforward.
There are some ‘actual songs’ in the blog but most of the material is written specifically to improve a certain aspect of one’s playing, and this is often best served with a specific exercise rather than, for example,a well known song. The reader will work progressively through a variety of different styles.
It is very important to take your time and play all the musical examples very slowly at first.Beginners(and even some advanced guitarists!) often make mistakes of trying to play too fast, which is ironic since the guitar is a particularly difficult instrument to play fast.
Beginners often worry whether or not they are progressing at the proper rate.Worry not! Everyone will progress at different rates. The important thing is to practice a little – that is, 10 to 15 minutes-everyday rather than a lot one day and not at all for the next three days.this blog stresses the importance of good technique; when self-taught players go to lessons (and I’m speaking from personal experience here!) they usually have to unlearn bad habits because they didn’t realise they were doing something wrong.
Are you ready? then let us begin!
ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
